API ONE The basic curriculum teaches praying Scripture, breath prayer, matching needs to Scripture, creating a time line of significant life events, reflecting on our faith journey, and the art of soul friendship, or prayerful listening. The focus is on gaining a basic skill set of contemplative practices. It might be described like this: “Awakening the Soul to God’s Presence and Purpose for Your Life”

API TWO The focus for API TWO will be on putting our deeper connection with God into action. Each student will plan and carry out a prayer centered project, assist with instruction at one API One seminar and one retreat, and deliver two book reports. The theme for API TWO is: “Inward, Upward, Outward: Growing as Contemplative Activators.”
