Pray with the Second Person of the Trinity

Pray with the Second Person of the Trinity

posted in: Uncategorized | 0

Let us affirm Our Fellowship With the Holy Trinity: We live in communion with the Holy Trinity. The Father searches our hearts; the Son intercedes for us; the Spirit calls out within us.

Romans 8:34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

Savior, pray for us.

Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them (Hebrews 7:25).

Savior, pray for us.

Consider what Jesus is praying for us even today:

“I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message.  I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me (John 17:20-21).

Oh, Jesus, we are stunned that you would be mindful of us! That you would lift our burdens to the Father, that you would assure us of saving grace. What are you asking of the Father for us today? For me, I say “yes” to your intercessions: Salvation full and free.  Union with you. Unity with my brothers and sisters. Credibility before an incredulous world. More disciples added to your glorious kingdom. Visions of our rapturous future with you. Love, love and more love. To all these and more, I speak a resounding “yes.” Tune me into your heart’s desire. Lead me\us in the great “YES” to each one. In your divine Name, Amen.

Using the John 17 scriptures provided, consider what Jesus is praying for those you love and serve. Pray along with Him.

In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
