Let us affirm our confidence in the saving grace of the Lord our God:
“In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2).
Now is the day of saving grace.
When we are overwhelmed, we cry out to you.
6 My soul is downcast within me;
therefore I will remember you
from the land of the Jordan,
the heights of Hermon—from Mount Mizar.
7 Deep calls to deep
in the roar of your waterfalls;
all your waves and breakers
have swept over me (Psalm 42:6, 7).
Fathomless Deep, call out to us.
You call me out upon the waters\the great unknown where feet may fail. \And there I find you in the mystery\in oceans deep my faith will stand.
Fathomless Deep, call out to me. May the depths of your Spirit reach down to the depths of me.
Like Jonah, who discovered the depths of your saving grace in the belly of the great fish, so teach us your grace in the deep places. When we are floundering, overwhelmed, and going down for the last time, teach us the even greater depths of your grace.
Intercession. Pray for those you love and serve who are overwhelmed. Pray they would encounter the depths of God’s saving grace. Pray praises. Pray lament. Pray warfare. Pray rest.
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
