Great Shepherd, raise up a leader through me
Andrew went to find his brother, Simon, and told him, “We have found the Messiah” which means “Christ”. Then Andrew brought Simon to meet Jesus. Looking intently at Simon, Jesus said, “Your name is Simon, son of John, but you will be called “Cephas,” which means “Peter.” -John 1:41-42

Lord of the Church, help us to plant one more
Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” -Matthew 16:17-18
