What is a spiritual director, anyway?
The answer has filled many volumes over the years, but what most contemporary writers agree on is that the word "director" is very misleading. Our only director is God! We prefer the terms "companion" or "soul friend."
What you can expect is a compassionate listener who will help you explore your relationship with God. This is not psychotherapy, it is not counseling. We will not "fix" you. We will help you see for yourself what God is doing in your life.
Sessions are usually about an hour. People may seek a spiritual director for a specific point of discernment, or for a longer term commitment. It's up to you.
